Liposuction Liposuction is the actual vacuum suction removal of fatty tissue deposits. It is performed for the shaping and contouring of an area that is usually more prone to increase fatty tissue deposition. A small suction device is placed through an incision in the skin, and vigorously manipulated into the subcutaneous fatty deposits. It is a method to help enhance spot fatty removal, or fat contouring.
